Amie Nicole Scott
Amie Scott is a practicing glass artist from the heart of Cornwall. After living in Cornwall since birth, she uses her beautiful surroundings as her main inspiration from the rugged moorland to the astonishing coastline. Throughout her work you can see how the scenery helps form the structure of her artworks. Amie has recently spent a large amount of time exploring Scandinavia, The Netherlands and Europe bringing back fresh ideas to develop and work on.
Amie studied through Cornwall College, achieving multiple A-Levels and a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, finishing with a Distinction. To start with she studied many different mediums within art and design, such as graphic design, fine art and film photography, qualifying in all of them whilst discovering her love for glass. Now she is an emerging exhibiting artist, attending multiple Art and Design Fairs throughout the UK each year and often showcasing work in a local gallery space in White River Place, St. Austell. Her work has also recently be featured in several issues of House & Garden magazine. Amie has also recently completed a voluntary placement as an Artist in Residence at a local college, where she had the opportunity to work with a range of abilities and ages.
